How to access your MySQL database from a remote host

This guide explains how to configure our MySQL service so you can connect to the databases hosted with us from remote servers or computers.

Before anything else you require a MySQL database, so make sure you already have one or create a new one.

1 - Access your Hosting Panel

Just follow instruccions of How to access your Hosting Panel.

2 - Click on Remote Access to MySQL

Look for and click on Remote Access to MySQL icon.

3 - Add your IP address

Just fill the form with the remote system IP address and click on Send button.

If the remote IP address is not a static IP address or you need access from many different IP addresses, write the sign % instead of an IP address.

4 - Connect to your database

Now that you have allowd remote connections to your MySQL databases, try to connect to it from the remote system. The connections settings would be:

  • Server: yourdomain.com
  • Port: 3306
  • Database: ( the full name of the database )
  • Username: ( the MySQL username you created qwhen creating the database )
  • Password: ( above username's password )
